The Con/vert Bag can, but doesn't have to, fulfill a specific need. It's great for those times you prefer a tote but need to wear it on your back for a little while. Maybe you got some groceries but you're on a bike with no basket. The adjustable straps connect to the bag with clips that go through loops on the bag at the top or on the lower sides for either a tote or backpack configuration. The top loops are offset a bit to make it easy to thread the clip through both sides to keep the bag closed when worn as a backpack... or maybe you just want to use it as a tote! This bag can also pack into its Bright Orange inner zipper pocket for compact carry when you are not using it. They are made here in Portland!
