Founded in 1999, Street Roots is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization in Portland, Oregon, that publishes a weekly investigative newspaper sold by people experiencing homelessness and poverty to earn an income. 

There is a message on this tee from its original origin as a tee to raise some money during the early covid pandemic. It says "Stay Inside" very small on it. We are just acknowledging that many folks who vend with Street Roots don't have that option, even on the days many of us look out at the rainy skies in Portland.
